FAQs

Q?

When should i expect my finished video?

A.

We are perfectionist and thoroughly believe that nothing great derives from getting the job done as fast as possible. We spend many hours reviewing your footage and photos, and ensure all those special moments are eminent in your final product.

Q?

We’d like a professional-quality wedding video, but we have a low budget. Will you negotiate your rates?

A.

The honest answer is No. If you are seeking professional-quality services, then you are investing in a professional - not a hobbyist. Your investment is more than just the cost of equipment you are paying for the onsite camera operation and post production editing skills needed to make a quality production of your one time only event the work continues on long after your Wedding day is over.

Q?

Will you travel interstate or overseas to film our wedding?

A.

Yes! We are more than happy to service customers interstate & overseas. There are additional expenses involved so please contact us to enquire about rates for domestic and international arrangements.

Q?

Will you use a tripod at our wedding? Will you be obtrusive?

A.

Our goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day as it naturally unfolds through a feature film style cinematography. In order to provide our client with the highest quality product, we have professional equipment. Our equipment is not a small handy cam that can be tucked away into a pocket; nevertheless we make every effort possible to be unobtrusive enough so that guests do not realize wa cinematographer is present. But as you would imagine, it is not as interesting to watch your event taken too far from the distance, you may wish to capture important family members on camera and for that it is a skillfully framed and smooth filmed shot that follows the subject of interest that works the best. We do not use any additional lighting sources unless it is required - in which case everything will be discuss with you prior to your Wedding day. It is sometimes recommended to have additional lighting during the toasts and the first dance so that the audience, as well as the cameras, can see people clearly given that these occasions usually take place during the evening.

Q?

How will you know what I want in my finished video

A.

You're expectations are requirements will be thoroughly discussed prior to your Wedding day. You can let us know what people, special  events and other content is important to you. We can also share other ideas that will enhance your wedding video.

Q?

Will we be able to hear our vows? How will you record the sound?

A.

Yes. Generally a lapel microphone is placed on the groom's jacket, which is connected either to a recording device in his pocket or to a audio transmitter that sends the sound to the camera. The bride, groom and celebrant normally stand close enough so that all three are recorded clearly by this microphone but in some situations we will also mic up the celebrant if they allow it. The microphone is then removed when appropriate after the ceremony. Our style of filming generally only requires the capture of your vows. All other recording is taken by the camera-mounted microphone and will be mixed into the final film accordingly.

Q?

How can you guarantee my wedding video will be perfect?

A.

Shooting a wedding is not like rehearsing and shooting a movie. We capture the wedding event as it happens and sometimes there are unforeseen circumstances that cannot be helped. Your wedding day my not be as perfect as you imagined due to incidences such as bad weather. Our experience helps us to capture the best scenes and angles, make the best of the lighting and sound available and edit it for a truly memorable product, despite what disappointments may occur on the day.

Q?

Can I sit with you during the editing process?

A.

While we encourage your input, the editing process takes between 40 - 80 hours and is not always simple. It is our policy to not have our clients present during the post production. Like any artist, we like you to see the perfectly finished piece for the first time and thoroughly enjoy it. We do not supply any raw footage, due to the artistic nature of our work; If you wish to own the raw footage please contact us for an additional purchase price.
